Terms of Use

Effective July 17, 2026

Agreement

These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. By downloading or using DICOM Studio, you agree to these Terms and Apple’s applicable terms.

Intended use

DICOM Studio is provided for education, organization, and non-diagnostic image review. It is not a diagnostic medical device and does not replace a PACS, certified diagnostic workstation, clinical system, healthcare professional, or professional medical judgment. Do not use the app as the sole basis for diagnosis or treatment.

User responsibility

You are responsible for having lawful authority to import, store, view, annotate, export, and share every selected file. Medical imaging can contain sensitive personal and health information. You are responsible for complying with applicable privacy, employment, healthcare, confidentiality, and data-protection obligations.

Subscriptions

DICOM Studio Pro is offered through auto-renewable Yearly and Weekly subscriptions. The localized price, duration, and any eligible introductory offer are shown before purchase.

Eligible new subscribers may receive a three-day free trial with Yearly Pro. After the trial, the subscription renews at the displayed yearly price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Eligibility is determined by Apple and is generally limited to one introductory offer per subscription group.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account after confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple subscription settings. Access remains available through the paid period. Billing, cancellation, and refund decisions are handled under Apple’s rules.

Compatibility and availability

DICOM is a broad standard with many transfer syntaxes and vendor variations. Unsupported, malformed, encrypted, multi-frame, color, unusually large, or compressed datasets may not open. The app may reject files or volumes that exceed device-safety limits. Features may change as compatibility and safety improve.

Measurements

Measurements use DICOM Pixel Spacing when valid spacing metadata is available and otherwise display pixel distances. They do not correct for acquisition geometry, magnification, distortion, calibration errors, reconstruction differences, or missing or incorrect metadata. Measurement output has not been clinically validated.

Acceptable use

You may not use the app unlawfully, attempt to interfere with its security or operation, or process files you are not authorized to access. You must not submit medical images or patient information through public support channels.

Disclaimer and limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DICOM Studio is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee that every DICOM file will be compatible, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that rendered output is suitable for a clinical purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and contact

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to the app, subscriptions, or applicable requirements. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions can be submitted through the DICOM Studio support page.
